It was exquisitely rich, yet as light as air. Everything a chocolate cake should be, Domino thought, savoring each bite blissfully. "Delicious," she observed finally, "but you cheated."
"Pardon me?" Nathan asked, blinking innocently.
"This is either store-bought or Jean's." She shook her fork at him reprovingly. "Remember the bet, Nate. You had to make the cake from scratch. Yourself."
"Okay. I may have cheated--a little," he admitted easily, a suspicious gleam in his eye. "What now?"
"Now I finish my cake." She grinned wickedly at him. "Then I get to take you upstairs and give you your just desserts."
